Product Description
Since suede steering wheels are cheaper, they are generally easier to use. The suede steering wheel is also flame-retardant, a property that allows the material to be used for seats in Formula 1 cars and even for transporting astronauts in outer space.
Cleaning Tips
The fibers were already very rough and had some light stains. With just a few basic detailing tools, we'll get it back as new in no time.
Steps:
1. Special cleaning agent for suede
2. A detail brush with slightly stiff bristles (we chose a boar bristle brush)
3. Several clean microfiber towels
Just a few sprays directly on the area to be cleaned will do the trick. After letting the cleaner wait a few seconds to start breaking up the oil and embedded grime, we sprayed the bristles on the boar bristle brush and started scrubbing the steering wheel surface lightly in small circular motions.
After 20-30 seconds of stirring with the brush, we took a clean microfiber towel and blotted the foam that lifted and pulled dirt from the fibers. Re-erects them and provides the soft feel we're used to.
Once the oil, stain, grime, and other grime are removed, you need to give the freshly cleaned areas some time to dry. We use a dry microfiber towel to absorb any excess liquid and fluff the fibers. To speed up the drying process, we used the air gun a few times.
In just a few minutes, the steering wheel returned to a brand new look and feel!
